Question:What' s your view on foods fortified with vitamins?
Answer:1am aiways wary of fooas with added vitamins>, since most fortified foods, such as breakfast cereals, are full of refined foods and sugar. Some refined foods, such as white flour, have to have certain nutrients (B1, B2, B3, iron, calcium) added back in by law. In the US there are moves to extend this list to include B12, folic acid and B6.

Why not just stop refining flour, which is the cause of the deficiency in the first place? Many refmed foods have lost other key nutrients such as zinc, selenium or chromium. The foods often state that they contain 100 per cent of the RDA of every vitamin, but what about these minerals? It is far better to choose wholefoods, unrefined and without sugar, and then supplement meaningful amounts of a wide range of vitamins and minerals in a highstrength multi.
