Question:I drink up to 6 litres of water a day because I thought it was a healthy thing to do. I have to go to the loo four times per hour, yet my urine is still pretty dark in the mornings.
Answer:It sounds like you are drinking too much water - so it' s not surprising you are going to the 100 so often! While most people don' t drink enough, it is also possible to overload your kidneys. Drinking 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day should be enough, and of course more if you exercise, but only an extra litre or so.

Your urine could be stronger in the morning because your body slows down water release overnight, so urine is usually much more concentrated. Taking supplements, particularly B vitamins, can also colour your urine and give it a distinctive smell, and this may be more pronounced in the morning, especially if you' re taking supplements before bed. However, if you have any pain or discomfort, or your urine has an unpleasant smell, you should go to your doctor to test for any infections.
