Question:I suffer from body odor, as I sweat a lot. What can I do to stop this?
Answer:Heavy sweating is often down to stress and problems with keeping your blood sugar on an even keel, while body odor could be the result of a need to detoxify your body. There are three things you have to do to balance your blood sugar and reduce stress: cut right back on sugar and stimulants such as tea and coffee; eat foods that release their sugar content slowly, such as oat-based bread or cereal, wholegrains, vegetables and fruit; and supplement lg of vitamin C, a B complex and 200mcg of chromium daily. If you feel a detox is definitely in order, you' ll need to follow a two-week detox diet.

Here' s how. Cut all red meat and dairy products right out, and concentrate on fruit, vegetables and lots of water (1.5 to 2 litres a day). Choose organic whenever possible. Fresh apricots, berries, cantaloupe, kiwi fruits, peaches, red grapes and mangoes, among other fruits, are the best; while peppers, beetroot, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, as well as cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, kale, spinach and watercress are excellent vegetable detoxiflers, as are beansprouts. Up to a third of your detox diet should be made up of grains such as millet, quinoa and brown rice, oily fish such as mackerel and sardines, and organic chicken or tofu. Every day, eat a handful of whole or ground raw nuts and seeds, either as a snack or in cereal, fruit-and-juice smoothies or soup.
