Question:Would you please tell me in very simple terms, what foods I can and cannot eat with a high blood cholesterol level? I am very confused about ail this.
Answer:In the simplest possible terms, this is the diet you should follow to minimise your cholesterol levels: FOODS ALLOWED Vegetables, cereals, fruit and nuts, fish, chicken breast, lean meat, pasta, olive oil, margarine, skim milk, dark chocolate, wine and beer. AVOID THESE FOODS Sausages, hamburgers, pies, lamb chops, mince, offal (liver, kidneys, tripe), roasts (particularly surface fat), game meat, chicken skin and legs, pizza, cala-mari, prawns, oysters, cream cake, milk chocolate, eggs and egg products, and dairy products (cream, milk, butter, yoghurt, cheese, custard).
