Question:Is excess Vitamin B harmful?
Answer:Vitamin B is made up from four different chemicals—thiamine (vitamin Bl), riboflavin (vitamin B2), pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12). These are all found in similar foods (such as dairy products, leafy vegetables and liver), and it is unusual for only one form to be missing from the diet. All the B vitamins are water-soluble and do not accumulate in the body. If you consume more than is immediately required by the body, it is rapidly excreted through the kidneys. There is no evidence that large doses cause any serious problems.
