Question:I am now nearly seventeen and about two years ago I started to masturbate regularly because it makes me feel good. Will this have a bad effect on other parts of my body? Will it weaken my eyes or heart? Will it make my penis grow bigger or smaller?
Answer:Masturbation has no detrimental effects on any part of the body in either sex, other than the possibility of friction burns on the part of the anatomy being stimulated. It is an extremely common form of self-stimulation, and if anyone tries to tell you it is dirty and dangerous, or that they have never masturbated, do not believe them. It is far more common in teenagers than older people who are in a position to have sex on a regular basis. Experimentation by teenagers with then-developing bodies and sexuality is a normal part of growing up. Masturbation may become a habit that interferes with other activities, and then it may become a minor problem. You may be disappointed to learn that it will not make your penis grow any larger.
