Causes of Scleritis
Often unknown, but may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis, polyarteritis nodosa, systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoimmune diseases. |
Symptoms of Scleritis
Redness, discomfort, and sometimes painful ulceration, of the sclera. |

Treatment for Scleritis
Anti-inflammatory or steroid eye drops and tablets.

Sclera may become thickened and affect vision. Cataracts and glaucoma may occur in severe forms. |
