Causes of Tinea Manum
The fungi usually come from the Trichophyton, Microsporum and Epidermophyton families. Caught by close contact with another infected human or animal (eg. cat, dog). Uncommon in children. |

A fine scale with a faint red edge that affects the palms and palm side of the fingers. |

Diagnosis proved by taking a skin scraping and examining it under a microscope for fungal spores. |
