Bacterial infection of rats and rabbits that can spread to humans.
Causes of Tularaemia
Spread through a tick bite or direct contact with an infected animal.
Symptoms of Tularaemia
Fever, headache, enlarged lymph nodes, tender spleen and vomiting. A sore can usually be found at the site where the bacteria entered the body. In severe cases, pneumonia and diarrhoea may develop.

Diagnosis can be confirmed by a blood culture.
