Symptoms of Zygomycosis Low grade fever, dull pain in the face and forehead, nasal congestion and discharge. |
Tests for Zygomycosis Diagnosed from examining a biopsy of the lining of the nose and sinuses under a microscope. |
Treatment for Zygomycosis Surgical clearance of the nose and sinuses combined with potent antifungal drugs for several months.

Complications of Zygomycosis of its treatment Worsening fever, bloody nasal discharge, reduced eye movement, lung involvement and collapse. |
Likely Outcome of Zygomycosis About half the patients with sinus infection are cured. It is not usually possible to cure any spread of the fungal infection to the lungs. |
