Causes of Choriocarcinoma of the Uterus 4% of women with uterine moles (see separate entry) develop cancer in the abnormal tissue. This may occur some time after apparently successful treatment of the mole. |
Symptoms of Choriocarcinoma of the Uterus During pregnancy, an abnormal vaginal bleed or discharge occurs, and the womb feels much larger than expected. |
Tests for Choriocarcinoma of the Uterus Ultrasound scan and abnormal blood tests occur, but diagnosis depends upon biopsy of the abnormal placental tissue. |
Treatment for Choriocarcinoma of the Uterus May sometimes be successfully treated with surgical removal of the uterus (hysterectomy) and cytotoxic drugs.
